📘 UPTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern (Primary Level: Class 1–5)

If you are aiming to teach primary classes (1 to 5), you will appear for Paper 1. 

The paper consists of 150 objective questions for a total of 150 marks.

  • Child Development & Pedagogy (बाल विकास): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Language I (Hindi - Compulsory): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Language II (Choose English, Urdu, or Sanskrit): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Mathematics (गणित): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Environmental Studies (EVS / पर्यावरण अध्ययन): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.


📗 UPTET Paper 2 Exam Pattern (Upper Primary: Class 6–8)

For candidates applying to teach upper primary classes (6 to 8), the structure is slightly different but still features 150 questions for 150 marks.

  • Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Language I (Hindi - Compulsory): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Language II (Choose English, Urdu, or Sanskrit): 30 MCQs / 30 Marks.

  • Subject Specialization (60 MCQs / 60 Marks):

    • Option A: Math & Science (For Math/Science background students).

    • Option B: Social Studies / SST (For Arts/Humanities background students).
